Canada represented at 2019 IMMAF-WMMAA Senior World Championships in Manama, Bahrain

Canada will be represented at the 2019 International Mixed Martial Arts Federation-World Mixed Martial Arts Association Senior World Championships of Amateur MMA. The sole representative of the country in the combat sports event is Ramil Kamilov, 22.

Including Canada , 49 countries will be represented at the 2019 IMMAF-WMMAA Senior World Championships. Taking placing at the Khalifa Sports City from November 10-16, 2019, it will be held in parallel with the 2019 Junior World Championships.

Born in Aktau, Kazakhstan on July 22, 1997, Kamilov is currently based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. As an amateur MMA fighter, he has 5 wins and 2 losses.

Kamilov has competed in Hard Knocks, Canadian National Amateur MMA Tryouts, Canadian National Championships, Rumble in the Cage and Xcessive Force Fighting Championship. He is also a kickboxing coach.

At the 2019 IMMAF-WMMAA Senior World Championships, Kamilov will compete in the men’s welterweight division, which is at 77.1kg (170lbs). Including the Canadian-Kazakh MMA fighter, there will be 32 athletes competing in the division.

Audience entry to the arena is free. The action will be streamed live internationally at IMMAF.TV.
On November 10, 2019, there will be a tournament draw and the competition will run from November 11-14, 2019 and on November 16, 2019 starting at 11 a.m. (UTC +3) each day. All matches will take place under Unified Amateur MMA Rules.
