Colombia represented at 2019 IMMAF-WMMAA Senior World Championships in Manama, Bahrain

2019 IMMAF-WMMAA World Championships
Two mixed martial artists will represent Colombia at the 2019 International Mixed Martial Arts Federation-World Mixed Martial Arts Association Senior World Championships of Amateur MMA. They are Daniella Duque and Alvaro Chaparro.

Including Colombia, 49 countries will be represented at the 2019 IMMAF-WMMAA Senior World Championships. Taking placing at the Khalifa Sports City from November 10-16, 2019, it will be held in parallel with the 2019 Junior World Championships.

Audience entry to the arena is free. The action will be streamed live internationally at IMMAF.TV.

On November 10, 2019, there will be a tournament draw and the competition will run from November 11-14, 2019 and on November 16, 2019 starting at 11 a.m. (UTC +3) each day. All matches will take place under Unified Amateur MMA Rules.

Duque will compete in the women's strawweight division, which is at 52.2 kg (115 lbs). Including her, there are 19 fighters competing in the division.

As an amateur MMA fighter, Duque has 1 win and 3 losses. She was born in Florencia, Caqueta, Colombia but is now based in Bogotá, Colombia.

On the other hand, Chaparro will make his amateur MMA debut at 2019 IMMAF-WMMAA Senior World Championships. He was scheduled to face his countryman Walter Plazas at "Brave 26" in Bogotá on September 7, 2019 but the bout was cancelled.

Chaparro will compete in the men's featherweight division, which is at 65.8 kg (145 lbs). Including him, there are 32 fighters competing in the division.
