Miss Asia Pacific International 2019 results: Canada's Jessica Cianchino is 2nd runner-up

Jessica Cianchino 

Canada was one of the countries represented at Miss Asia Pacific International 2019. Its representative was Jessica Victoria Cianchino, 21, of Toronto, Canada.

Cianchino is of Filipino descent and she is a mental health advocate. She was Miss Asia Pacific International 2019 second runner-up.

In April 2016, Cianchino's 12-year-old cousin committed suicide. The Filipino-Canadian beauty queen is the Ambassador of Mental Health for the Youth and Parents Association of Markham.

In 2017, Cianchino was crowned Miss Earth Ontario and Miss Earth Canada first runner-up. In 2018, she was crowned Miss York Region World.

Including Cianchino, a total of 54 women from Asia Pacific and neighboring countries competed in Miss Asia Pacific International 2019. Hosted by Samir "Sam YG" Gogna, 35, Joey Mead-King, 43, and "Celebrity Car Wars" host Bobby Tonelli, 43, the coronation night took place at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on October 9, 2019.

Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 Sharifa Areef Mohammad Omar Akeel, 22, of the Philippines crowned Chaiyenne Huisman, 20, as her successor while Eoanna Constanza, 24, of Dominican Republic, Carolina Schüler, 25, of Brazil and Fiorella Cortez, 25, of Costa Rica were the respective first, third and fourth runners-up. Cianchino also performed well in the preliminary events having crowned as the continental queen of the Americas. She won special awards namely Miss Photogenic and Miss Culture Hair Salon Manila and she was Best in Evening Gown first runner-up.
